Production
At Doc Cotton we take great pride in the fact that every item is handmade in our state-of-the-art workroom.
Once an order is placed on our website our dedicated team swing into action.
The chosen textile design is overlaid onto the correct garment pattern and the fabric is printed using water-based inks on sustainably sourced cotton, bamboo silk or a cotton and linen mix.
The fabric must then go through a process of steaming and washing to set the ink.
Once the fabric is dried and pressed it is ready to be made up. Our production manager prepares the pieces and then hands them to our machinists to work their magic.
Over 8 hours can go into the production of one item, everything is made by hand using the most sustainable and ethical practises we can.
Your garment is then packed beautifully in recycled tissue paper, with dried lavender that has been grown in our gardens, and then into a box to post. All our packaging is made from recycled materials.
Responsibily made to order
Using sustainably sourced cotton, bamboo silk and linen mixes, Doc Cotton offers luxury and style made to last.
